We've got a new layout (which happens to be seriously mobiles/tablets friendly), a great new player connected to our soundcloud page for the exclusive mixes AND our all new 'Get Connected' area - a place for you to hook up and connect to like-minded people. Interviews, news and reviews include: a world record attempt at phone smashing live at the Gadget Show, NEC, Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz with their New World Punx, great stuff for the Hardcore Underground crew, a world exclusive mix and interview from Phrantic, AFK's new bass Killionaire EP and much, MUCH more!

Jokko

Hailing from Uppsala in Sweden Jokko has taken on the Barcelona underground music scene and shown it who’s boss in unrelenting fashion. In the time that she has been mixing her success has been both rapid and widespread. Regular international bookings at big Dubstep events keep coming thick and fast, with an ever growing reputation for her dexterous and eclectic sets, trusted, unbiased and above all passionate reviews of the music she loves is where its at for our resident Dubstep guru.

DJ Benvinda was featured in the top 50 female artists poll that we ran in the beginning of the summer, and reached third place. We asked her good friend and Core dubstep writer, DJ Jokko, to catch up with the Portugese dnb superstar.

Minikin, Drugz EP - dubstep focus

Olexandr Prokhorenko (aka Minikin and originating from Kiev) is the talented DJ and producer that has been a key player on the Ukrainian bass scene for almost a decade now. Not only has his tracks been released on the home label BassMe records, but Minikin has also been featured on the giant Ministry of Sound label and also the Rag & Bone label.

Is it fate or just dumb luck that two talented musicians from London meet one late night in Barcelona, and shortly after form one of the most interesting new groups of the year? Well, however it happened, we should all be pleased it did.

Tom Peeke and Lily Lunan are Espai, the fresh male/female duo that are making some serious noise on the circuit, even before the release of their first album. With an amazing response to their tracks on Soundcloud and to their live shows, we are just seeing the beginning of what this talented duo can do. Fusing several different influences in their music, Espai truly take trip-hop and dubstep to the next level.
