Music Mad, is the night time journo alter ego of Mark EG - one of the most well known EDM DJ's in the UK. Although he's been producing for the last 20 years and DJ's all over the world, Mark has a passion for writing - about all forms of music. His techno alias is The Anxious www.theanxious.net. Over the years he's been an Editor for the early 90's cult rave magazine Eternity, Wax Magazine and wrote for M8 and Generator. You've Got Talent Season 1: Hard Dance WINNER!

Here are the results of our hard dance producer/DJ You've Got Talent search. We’re taking each category in turn and announcing the winners over the next week or so. Finally we’ll choose an overall winner. However each winner from each category will be interviewed for the main magazine. This time, it's Mark EG as the judge. Enjoy!

Last weekend saw the worlds largest event dedicated to DJing and electronic music production take place at the NEC, Birmingham. Of course, Core was at the conference and over the next few week's we'll be posting about the most exciting and innovative products we found.

Former MP Evan Harris has taken ecstasy for a Channel 4 show which will examine the effects of the class A drug. Entitled 'Drugs Live: The Ecstasy Trail', it sees various participants given MDMA or a placebo before being placed inside a brain scanner.

As if worldwide dubstep domination wasn't enough, brostep king Skrillex has landed himself a cameo role in the new disney cartoon Wreck It Ralph - which is due to hit UK screens in February 2013. 


A father who threatened to kill his neighbours when their loud music stopped his son revising for his GCSE's has been jailed for four months.
