Kerb are giving away a prize of £200 worth of clothing and the forthcoming ‘ZERO T presents FOOTPRINTS Volume 1’ LP and Octane & DLR ‘Method in the Madness’ Album. Want to know more? Read on...
Here's what Paul Turner, of Kerb Clothing, had to say:
"Now in its third season of the mix competition, it just seems to grow and grow. We have had some amazing mixes entered over the past seasons. This season we decided to open it up to other genres with the minimum 5 DnB track element just to see what people would do and maybe make it more accessible to other DJs. We had some requests to allow other music genres over the first few seasons and decided it would be great to see what people came back with.
We didn’t just want a boring competition. We wanted to build something we could do each season that people could really get involved in. There are a lot of ‘like and share’ competitions (which we do) but we wanted to build on something we could get excited about and hoped others would too. A mix competition just seemed perfect. We have been into dnb for over 10 years so that seemed the best way to start the competitions.
The last few season’s competitions have produced some quality drum and bass mixes. This season to change it up a bit we are allowing different genres of music. You have to get drum and bass in there somewhere and have to have a minimum of 5 dnb tracks in your mix to participate. What else you put in there is up to you. You can of course still just go fully drum and bass!"
