Core Magazine recently caught up with a selection of this year’s hardstyle headliners. These guys have seen their fair share of events over the years! ‘We have to single out one event this year?! Pfff, that’s an almost impossible task.’, begin Showtek. I can tell you that we were extremely proud hosting our own stage at Dance Valley. And at Creamfields too. We’re planning to do a mix of live performance and DJing. But that’s still in progress.’
Hardstyle hero Brennan Heart was at the immense ‘Q Dance Feestfabriek’ which celebrated 10 years of this iconic organisation. ‘I created over forty DJ tools, edits and remixes for this festival season'
Also at Dance Valley was industrial hardstyle sensation DJ Thera, who’s shaped a whole new sound over the last year with his Theracords label, ‘It was a huge honour for me to be performing some seriously big festivals this year. The biggest one was of course Dance Valley and I was on the famous HQ stage, alongside Wragg & Log:one, Proteus, A*S*Y*S* and many more. Finally, I am also very proud to say I was playing at the Ground Zero Festival where the line up was simply stunning!’
The Prophet from Scantraxx enthused, ‘I was really looking forward to Mysteryland this year. I hoped my studio would be finished in time! I will have some new tracks prepared soon. If not, the studios of Wildstylez, Headhunterz and Noisecontroller's Bas Oskam are finished so I will play all their new shizzle! Whahaha!’
Finally, Core Magazine’s own Editor Mark EG and a long term purveyor of hardstyle in the UK says...
'I've been involved with the scene for the last 20 years here in the UK and it's never been better. I love the fact there's loads of new artists trying to do their thing. It's a very exciting time for music..
So there you have it - the very best names in global hardstyle, telling us how it is...
