If you think you’ve made plans for New Year’s Eve, that’s fine. We don’t want to rock the boat. No, you go ahead. If you haven’t, we’ve got it sorted. It’s right here. Stop, and read this.

In these days of packed schedules, ident-i-kit nights and same-old-same-old line-ups, sometimes it’s a struggle for events to stick out. No such challenge for secretsundaze. The legendary night has always been a buzzword for the more discerning club-goer. And NYE this year is no exception.

Always on the ‘must-attend’ list, NYE is going to be a special night even by secretsundaze standards. Although the main headlining special guest is still to be announced, we already know that Levon Vincent will be smashing the decks to pieces in room 1, alongside Kyle Hall and regulars Giles Smith and James Priestly. Room 2 is also due to have an as-yet-unannounced guest who will play along with Hot Flush’s George Fitzgerald and residents from Man Made Music and Five Easy Pieces.

Add to all this a new venue as well. SS have chosen The Troxy, a Grade II listed former cinema on Commercial Road, offering ‘a little more pizzazz, style and comfort’ compared with the usual warehouse-type affair. The venue maintains original art deco features, along with a killer sound system and lighting.

One of the most respected names to come out of NYC over the last few years, Levon Vincent is both DJ and producer. If you go for New York house and garage music in the mould of Danny Tenaglia et al, it’s time to sit up and take note of Levon. Kyle Hall will be on hand to represent the sound of Detroit. The hype around this guy is enormous, but well deserved, and he has the talent to carry things through.

Tickets are moving very fast, so please jump to http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?294601 for info and tickets, which are currently going for £14.50.
