Good news for all bassheads as Mary Anne Hobbs, a key figure in breaking dubstep to the masses, returns to radio with a new show on Manchesters Xfm.

With nearly 30 years of radio and journalism experience behind her, Mary Anne's BBC  Radio 1 show was instrumental in exposing the nascent dubstep scene to a wider audience, with her 'Dubstep Warz' special widely credited as a pivotal moment in genre's history.  Having left her slot last year to concentrate on other projects, news of her return (and to Xfm, the station with which she began her broadcasting career) is sure to be welcome news to all fans and producers of bass-heavy experimental sounds.
Mary Anne returns from April with a series of 'audio postcards' from her US Road Warrior tour before beginning a primetime Saturday slot on July 9th on www.xfm.co.uk
