'The Sound Of Creation' is an interactive, multi- layered sound track and video featuring sampled sounds and images inspired by nuances of the Fidelio production process.
“The experience is like an audio-visual metaphor for creativity”, commented Washed Out’s Ernest Greene. “As an artist, what I found interesting was that I go through similar stages of the creative process when producing a song as Philips’ engineers and designers do when they’re creating a new Fidelio product.”
The 29 year-old Atlanta-based artist Washed Out follows in the footsteps of a number of musicians and producers Philips has collaborated with, including Benjamin Herman, Frankmusik, Liam Gallagher and Steve Lillywhite. In 2011, unsigned Brazilian band INKY won the chance to record one of their songs with the world-famous Metropole Orchestra and legendary producer Steve Lillywhite thanks to Philips’ Obsessed with sound ‘Hear Every Detail’ global competition. ‘The Sound of Creation’ is the sequel to last year’s contest and offers audiophiles everywhere a unique way to share in Philips’ obsession with sound.
