Noisily Festival 2013

Beacons could easily be classed as one of those ‘hippy’ boutique festivals which have sprung up as an alternative to large events such as Reading festival, and which have been criticised for attracting fire-hungry alcohol intolerant 16 year-olds. After Beacons was cancelled in its first year due to flash flooding, it returned fighting fit and sold out thanks to a stellar line-up: including house heavyweight Maya Jane Coles and bass music maestro Pearson Sound.

Get Locked Down in Amsterdam

Bass music chanteuse Ayah Marar is slowly but surely taking over the world. The honey-vocalled starlet has been making quite the noise on account of her frequent collaborations (Calvin Harris, Toddla T, Warrior One and DJ Marky are amongst those who have had her voice soundtrack their productions), whilst the massive Follow U, alongside Yogi, was one of the biggest tracks for Ministry of Sound last year.
