Texas' AFK is firing on all cylinders with his recent Killionaire EP on Firepower Records. He represents the US' growing passion for bass music, and we tracked him down to talk about the EP and his career to date.

Noisily Festival is proud to unveil the full music programme for their second event which takes place across the glorious bank holiday weekend 24 – 27th May. Set in the heart of the beautiful Leicestershire countryside, not only does this event feature a selection of the finest electronic DJ's and producers from across the globe covering the full spectrum of dance music, but it also features a fantastic arts programme, stunning décor, production, comedy and much more.

Beacons could easily be classed as one of those ‘hippy’ boutique festivals which have sprung up as an alternative to large events such as Reading festival, and which have been criticised for attracting fire-hungry alcohol intolerant 16 year-olds. After Beacons was cancelled in its first year due to flash flooding, it returned fighting fit and sold out thanks to a stellar line-up: including house heavyweight Maya Jane Coles and bass music maestro Pearson Sound.

One event you won’t want to be missing this month is Lockdown Festival. Held at the NDSM shipyard, the line-up they’ve crafted has to be the best of the summer for Holland’s bass minded.

Bass music chanteuse Ayah Marar is slowly but surely taking over the world. The honey-vocalled starlet has been making quite the noise on account of her frequent collaborations (Calvin Harris, Toddla T, Warrior One and DJ Marky are amongst those who have had her voice soundtrack their productions), whilst the massive Follow U, alongside Yogi, was one of the biggest tracks for Ministry of Sound last year.
