D.O.D is a name that consistently crops up at major league events in the dance music world. The modern DJ needs to be a master of all trades to stand out and that is exactly what D.O.D thrives on. His sound? A mashed-up barrage of self-labelled ‘Jump-Up Big Room House’, cut up and re-edited with surgical precision with an arsenal of CDJs and FX units that appear more like the controls of a small plane than a mixing station.

His hi-tech, electro-infused aural attack on the world’s dance floors is winning him valuable supporters, including the likes of Annie Mac, Tiesto, David Guetta, Eddie Halliwell, Steve Aoki, Laidback Luke, Gareth Emery and Laurient Garnier: not bad for a guy in his early 20’s.

Fire It Up is not one to miss out on a red-hot talent, so D.O.D will be gracing the stage at Tall Trees along with a fair amount of deck-abusing and sound twisting. We spoke to D.O.D in the run up to May 6th.
