Beacons could easily be classed as one of those ‘hippy’ boutique festivals which have sprung up as an alternative to large events such as Reading festival, and which have been criticised for attracting fire-hungry alcohol intolerant 16 year-olds. After Beacons was cancelled in its first year due to flash flooding, it returned fighting fit and sold out thanks to a stellar line-up: including house heavyweight Maya Jane Coles and bass music maestro Pearson Sound.

Defqon.1 Festival Moves To Biddinghuizen

With the ongoing construction of Almere Poort which is directly adjacent to the Defcon.1 location, Q-Dance has unfortunately lost permission to hold the event there for future years. In turn, the internationally renowned outdoor festival has no choice but to move.

JTB and DJ Chuck-E studio diary Summer 2010

It’s been busy at Autobot studios since we spoke to you last. We’ve been back to tour Australia for a second time, have had releases on AWsum black, Bionic digital and Intolerance Recordings. We have also been remixing for / been remixed by, Activator, Cally and Juice, Kidd Kaos and Technikal. We are about to start a busy months DJ’ing at lots of our favorite events including Firewall, Atmosphere, Slammin Vinyl, and many more!
