Some of you might remember that at the beginning of the year I predicted that L.A. Noire could well become game of 2011, and some people also claim I'm Rockstar Games biased as I have consistently given GTA, Red Dead & Beaterator full marks. Well if they didn't keep making the best games on the market then my rating of them might change, but that time is most certainly not now as I have finally got my hands on L.A. Noire and it is perfect. Again I reiterate, “Front Runner for Game Of The Year 2011”. You can quote me on that.

Nemesis: who says "crime doesn't pay”?

He's the son of a privileged family orphaned at a young age who travels the world in search of the training and discipline he needs to avenge the death of his parents. Donning a mask and cape, he utilises his wealth to supply him with endless gadgets and vehicles and then sets out in the world, putting fear into the hearts of those worthy of his idea of justice... the police.

Every couple of months, a game is released that steals hours of your life. You know the ones, they cause you to rush home from work, set up your console and ‘just finish that bit I was stuck on last night’ and before you know it, it’s gone midnight and you still haven’t even made dinner. And then every now and again, you get games that swallow up entire weekends, along with the evenings, lunch-hours and time usually reserved for the other half/kids/pub.

KONAMI, today released the first screenshots and music from the highly anticipated survival horror game, Silent Hill: Downpour. Making its return to "next generation" consoles this fall, Silent Hill: Downpour will bring a completely original storyline, and all-new haunting soundtrack as players find themselves stranded in the foggy, malevolent world of Silent Hill.

Stupid O'Clock - Hardcore Comedy

Stupid O’ Clock is the brainchild of Core Magazine GFG Editor Keith Souch, writer Ruben Shaw and Core clubs writer Jon Brown, created after many discussions about how much Jon and Keith in particular missed their earlier stints in the realm of radio broadcasting. It was often brought to the table that a new comedy broadcast could be written, but often with Jon’s no holds barred approach to being outspoken on a lot of subjects and even more so with Keith’s darkly comic, yet witty and genius take on blue comedy (coupled with the fact that he also is ruthlessly fearless in his approach to subjects he feels impassioned by); the project was often put on hold, because the limitations of broadcast often meant that if a show was ever to go ahead - it would be very censored and therefore, not really as the comedy double would ever have envisaged.
