A pioneer in his field, Bukem has shaped and developed the sound we all know now as drum and bass. The name LTJ Bukem originates from a contraction of ‘El DJ Bookem’ – a nod to the Spanish ‘The DJ’ and the well-known catchphrase from Hawaii Five-O by Steve McGarret, Senior Officer to Danny Williams, ‘Book ‘em, Danno’.
